Name: Luis Hernandez
Luis Hernandez has been proudly serving the Tulalip Tribes for more than 21 years and currently serves as the Finance Manager for the Tulalip Health System (THS). Over the course of his career, he has held several roles within the organization, beginning in the ARM Department, later serving as the beda?chelh Finance Coordinator and, ultimately, transitioning to THS, where he has spent the last 13 years.
Luis earned a Master of Science in Education from the University of Miami and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Columbia College. Before joining the Tulalip Tribes, Luis served in the United States Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln from 2001 to 2005. The experience helped shape his commitment to service, leadership, and teamwork that continues to guide him today.
When he's not working with budgets and financial planning, Luis enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife, Mytyl, have four children—Malaki, Amaya, Allyea, and Leiland—who keep life busy, rewarding, and full of adventure. This blend of professional experience, military service, and dedication to family has helped Luis build strong relationships throughout the Tulalip community and support the ongoing mission of the Tulalip Health System.
