Substance Use Disorder (SUD)

Mission:

Provides culturally based programs to nurture our children, families, and community members by honoring our cultural teachings and values for the well-being and preservation of future generations.

How to receive services:

Tribal members in a crisis can come in and begin the process immediately. Or they can schedule an appointment for an assessment and start the process at that time.

If a family member needs help, we encourage tribal members and families to bring the individual in to assess the tribal member's needs. In some cases, if the individual cannot come in or is elderly or disabled, we can come out and assess the tribal or family member on site.

The Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Department accepts referrals from:

All court systems, Department of Corrections, schools, Charles Denny Youth, employers, CPS, bədaʔčəɬ, state licensed mental health agencies, and self.

Forms of payment accepted:

Self-pay, preferred provider HMA, private pay, and insurance.

Services Provided:

  • Outpatient program for adults and youth
  • Intensive outpatient treatment meets all court-ordered requirements
  • Moral Recognition Therapy (MRT), cognitive style group therapy
  • Aftercare groups
  • Youth life skills group - Canoe Journey
  • DUI assessments
  • Reiki treatment referrals
  • Acupuncture treatment referrals (helps to restore and balance your natural energy while easing withdrawal symptoms)
  • CD/addictions intake/assessments
  • Individual counseling for adults and youth
  • Family group counseling for youth and adult
  • Referrals to inpatient treatment for adults and youth
  • Alcohol/drug/addictions education
  • Intervention counseling
  • Suboxone® treatment (for opioid and opioid addictions)
  • Gambling addiction treatment
  • Relapse prevention for those who are relapse-prone and/or have recently experienced a relapse
  • Family therapy sessions for youth and adults

NARCAN:

NARCAN is available at Tulalip Family Services at no cost to tribal members and at Tulalip Clinical Pharmacy.

Eligibility Requirements:

Tulalip tribal citizens ages 12 and up are eligible to access services. We also serve other natives, spouses, and anyone from the community. At this time, the Suboxone Program serves only Tulalip tribal citizens.
